In this kind of exciting role as business developer, you might be responsible for the following:
- Set up appropriate business plans
- Identify and define sales objectives (sell-in and sell-through)
- Identify and approach potential targets/prospects
- Identify key competitors
- Attend conferences, symposia and exhibitions
- Manage marketing and sales-related activities
- Budget and schedule financial support
- Present budgets and report monthly on progress.
- Provide regular Business Development activity reports to CEO
- Organize most appropriate strategies to promote products and services
- Undertake required actions to reach selling-in objectives
- Participate in review meetings to report on progress made, to suggest new business opportunities, to provide technical feedback and innovative ideas to the development team, and in general, to improve our business practices
Depending on the company's business model, the role may also cover the following dimensions:
- Managing and leading Business Development from initial confidential evaluation through term sheet negotiation, due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents, execution and closing
