The Chief Operating Officer is a member of the Executive Board. You ensure that business and quality operations are implemented, that policies that promote the company's culture and vision are established and monitors the company's operations with the Executive Committee.
The company has now reached a good state of maturity on some of its products but is looking to explore new opportunities for growth in the future. The COO will be at the heart of this analysis and its implementation.
The COO is directly responsible for the departments:
Leading Sales & Marketing: Assisted by your team, you’re responsible for satisfying customer needs by proposing products adapted to the market, achieving turnover targets, and developing the customer portfolio. Define, implement, and supervise the company's sales strategy by guaranteeing: the development of turnover, the management of the sales force, prospecting, and customer relationship management.
A large part of the role will also involve a set of activities related to business development: identifying new applications, finding and implementing partnerships, licensing and distributions agreements, spin-off creation, M&A opportunities...
The Sales & Marketing role also involves managing confidentiality, distribution, and own brand contracts in line with regulatory requirements.
With regards to Marketing, you will be able to determine the timing of product launches and the means to support these launches as well as to draw up and propose to management the development plans and go-to-market strategy for products and new products (product launch schedule).
You will be required to coordinate the activity of other departments impacted by the commercial aspects.
Coordinate external partners in charge of the following operational activities:
- product sheets, brochures and sales aids/tools and participate in the definition of product packaging
- relations with external marketing service providers (communication agency, printers, website)
- Organizing presence at trade fairs and coordinating the development of the necessary tools for these fairs
- updating of websites and newsletters…
The COO coordinates and supervises the work of the experts who are responsible for the following departments:
- Product development
- Regulatory Affairs. Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
(Batch release, validation, audits, regulatory compliance of products, IT...)
