Downstream Process Manager - Liège

Job Purpose:

In the context of the future developments, you will be part of a team of passionate change makers.

Based in Liège (Belgium), you will participate in the successful development of a smart and continuous innovative and cost effective downstream process.

You will be one to select and implement the most efficient technologies enabling to simplify and optimize the purification and capture operations.

Working closely with the Upstream Specialists, our Partners and our Process Engineering Director, you will also facilitate the integration of the purification process.


  • Master or PhD in a scientific discipline (Biochemistry, bio-engineering, biology, Biochemical engineering or related discipline).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in related field (protein extraction and purification from milk sources).
  • Expertise in Milk Cracking
  • Background and practical experience in purification of proteins & biomolecules (Chromatography, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, diafiltration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, centrifugation).
  • Experience in analytical methods
  • Knowledge of the development, scale up and implementation of process downstream purification technology up to several liters.
  • Ability to design, implement and interpret experiments independently.
  • Demonstrate solid data analysis and organizational skills. Experience in preparing project plans, schedules as well as detailed reports.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Excellent communication and team spirit.
