Global Sales Director - Simulation Based Engineering Products – Aerospace/Automotive


Our Client is specialized in simulation process integration and numerical design optimization. The company is a simulation innovation partner to manufacturers in automotive, aerospace and other engineering-intense industries. Our client is a Belgian Company, part of a Japanese Group, with HQ in Belgium. Their international high-level Engineers participate to one of the cutting-edge innovative on-line software.


Key responsibilities

  • Devise and implement the company’s sales strategy including sales budgets, forecasting, expense management and sales team leadership.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales and profitability targets.
  • Form strong relationships with key stakeholders at all management levels.
  • Inspire the global sales team to increase opportunity capture, optimize profit management, improve forecast accuracy and provide competitive intelligence.
  • Work with HR to recruit, mentor and develop key talent across regions.
  • Lead the sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.

Organizational alignment

Reports to the Group Chief Executive Officer.


Desired skills and experience

  • A senior sales leader with extensive experience in managing Global Sales teams preferably within CAE/simulation technology software environment.
  • Strong Engineering background or education
  • Knowledge and experience in strategic planning and execution, structuring sales targets and KPI expectations, contract design, review and negotiation, and change management.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including intercultural competence.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead productive group meetings.
  • Knowledge and application of innovative and strategic selling solutions as well as thought-leadership for sales growth opportunities.
  • Exceptionally strong people motivator and demonstrated hands-on leadership with the ability to build and grow cohesive teams.
  • Strong knowledge of diverse business functions such as Marketing, Finance, Human resources as well as corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • MSc/MA in business administration or relevant field is a plus
  • This position requires extensive international travel.
