Operations Coordinator - MedTech - Brussels


Our Client is is a medical devices company active in gastro-enterology. The company is dedicated to the development of innovative devices providing new means of therapeutic interventions for gastroenterologists. It is a spin-off from Université libre de Bruxelles, based on a collaboration between the engineers of the engineering school and the gastroenterologists from Erasme Hospital.

The product has been recently CE marked and in order to face the increase of their production activities, they are looking for a Production Engineer.

Your Role:

As Operations Coordinator you will be in charge of the different steps of the manufacturing activities: selection of raw materials, management of the subcontracting companies, trainings, improvement of processes, etc.

The Operations Coordinator:

  • controls production schedules in collaboration with commercial and clinical departments.
  • prepares batch release for QA approval.
  • controls suppliers and subcontractors (schedules, orders, validation status, trainings), incl. regular visits
  • manages production issues / questions
  • defines and performs activities required to maintain equipment used in R&D and production.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You plan specific phases of project realization.
  • Tech transfer from R&D to Production: You control and you ensure the follow-up of the manufacturing aspects of R&D projects.
  • You propose & update manufacturing aspects of development plan.
  • You source raw materials, components, select suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • You ensure a good and regular communication with the subcontracting companies. You go on the field and you train the team.
  • You analyze the non-conformities and you investigate the problem.
  • You are also in charge of the maintenance of the company’s equipment’s: management of the maintenance planning and qualification/validation of the equipment’s.


  • You have a Master Degree as Industrial Engineer in Electromechanics.
  • You have a 3-8 years’ experience as Production or Process Engineer.
  • You have an experience in a high-regulated sector such as Medical Devices, Pharma, Aeronautics, Automotive, etc.
  • As an hands-on person, the validation and calibration of equipment’s have no secret for you.
  • An experience in a Clean Room environment is a big asset.
  • You are a flexible and an open-minded person with good organizational skills.
  • You are stress-resistant and your communication skills help you to develop good contacts with stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of French and English (mandatory).
