The person we are looking for has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a good network in Life Sciences

He/she will establish first contact with Companies in the client's industry:

- being able to generate a first meeting and streamline through the sales cycle with the support from the senior sales positions.

- Become the client local contact point in Belgium for medium pharma industry, research centers and public investigation and achieving after a training period the autonomy to attract, on-board and manage these types of companies.

New business is the parameter which will be taken in to account to evaluate the performance and results provided for this position

active prospecting

Based on data base, industry networking, former job/ experience network, own/ other networking and/ or any creative prospecting system find contacts in Life Science companies and call them to introduce him/ herself and propose a meeting or VC as next step. (Emailing them is also a possibility but second to phone call)

Establish first contact with Companies in our industry

Generate a first meeting with prospects

Take the prospect through the sales cycle so it becomes a client

Become the Sales representative for all prospects which become a client due to the sales executive efforts/ actions

Generate new business and new accounts following the tasks above described

Gain after a short- mid term period the necessary autonomy to attract, on-board and manage small-medium life science accounts in Belgium and The Netherlands

Sales Executive Life Sciences

  • Hard Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor or Master
  • Relevant Pharma/Biotech sales experience (> 5 years)
  • Proven track record of success in business development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Soft Skills
  • Hunter profile who can develop his own customer portfolio
  • Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust
  • Highly motivated, determined, target driven and result oriented
  • Customer-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • First language should be Dutch (sales focus should be Flemish Belgium and The Netherlands), the second language can be either French or English with no real preference, however, company language for email exchanges is English (not required a high english written level, just adecquate in order to be able to transmit and read emails/ communications)
