As part of this exciting expansion into e-health, with the creation of a new startup, our client is seeking a passionate entrepreneur to assume the role of Chief Technology Officer.
Your responsibilities
As Chief Technology Officer your role will be to strategically and technically implement a new SaaS solution designed to assist life sciences companies in developing their own clinical studies. You will work within an innovative startup, comprising a small team of experienced professionals with the support of the IDDI Group.
The Chief Technology Officer's mission is to develop a strategy based on the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, establishment of internal processes, and coordination of internal and external teams to deliver an innovative solution that meets market needs:
Develop an implementation strategy: You will be tasked with designing and implementing an effective strategy to coordinate the development efforts of this new SaaS product within the clinical research ecosystem. This involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify technical needs and opportunities, including cloud infrastructure, software, databases, security, network and connectivity, interoperability, and scalability.
Establish strategic partnerships including technology providers and regulatory bodies. You will develop strong and lasting relationships to promote solution adoption and enhance compatibility with other systems.
Oversee technical activities: Working closely with our development team, you will ensure seamless technical integration of SaaS product with clients' existing systems. You will supervise data migration, connectivity, and interoperability processes to ensure an optimal user experience. You will also review, and challenge proposed technical solutions, including software development aspects.
Product Management: In collaboration with the Product team and based on market needs and trends, monitor the development of services and products to offer an attractive and competitive product range.
Establish a technical support service: You will set up a technical support service to address technical questions for the SaaS solution. This will involve collaborating with clients, partners, and internal teams to effectively and timely resolve technical support requests.
Ensure regulatory compliance: Collaborating with regulatory bodies and compliance experts, you will ensure that the solution adheres to industry standards and regulations in the field of clinical studies. You will ensure that the implantation complies with data protection and privacy requirements.
Supervise, inspire, guide, and mentor teams to achieve set objectives. Foster a collaborative, stimulating work environment focused on excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and with other entities within the group.
Identify market needs and growth opportunities, position the startup, and create the necessary conditions for sales development in Europe and the United States, including establishing alliances and partnerships.
Represent the business at conferences and events, creating favourable conditions for sales development.
Manage operational and budgetary aspects of the structure, challenge the business model to ensure profitability and sustainability of the business.
Requirements
Previous experience as a CTO, Chief Integration Officer, Product Manager, Director of Technology, full stack programmer or similar role, ideally in the life sciences sector.
Motivated to work in the medical research field and able to translate that intrinsic motivation into a driving force for the team.
Personal experience with software development in PYTHON, as well as expertise in cloud infrastructure, databases, security, network and connectivity, interoperability…
Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
Understanding of data protection and privacy regulations and standards in the clinical studies domain.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful partnerships with external stakeholders.
Strong technical skills and ability to solve complex technical issues.
University degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.) preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
Fluent in English as a working language.
