About the Company
Our client is a European deep-tech company specializing in advanced automated optical inspection systems for highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Following successful prototype validation with industrial partners, the company is entering a critical phase of product industrialization and international deployment. The core solution is used in ophthalmic lens manufacturing (e.g., intraocular lenses and medical optics), where validation, traceability, repeatability and regulatory compliance are essential.
To support this scaling phase, our client is recruiting a Product Owner / Project Manager.
As Product Owner, you will take ownership of both the product evolution and its successful deployment in customer production environments.
This position combines product management, industrial project leadership and field deployment. It is designed for someone who enjoys turning cutting-edge technology into reliable, scalable production tools used daily in regulated manufacturing.
Define and maintain the product roadmap, requirements and priorities
Translate customer feedback, production data and field insights into product improvements
Work closely with optics, software and algorithm teams
Support preparation for serial production and long-term serviceability
Ensure alignment between technical development and industrial constraints
Lead on-site deployment projects at customer manufacturing facilities
Collect and analyze real production data
Assess inspection performance (false accept / false reject rates, KPIs, thresholds)
Support installation, commissioning, ramp-up and operator training
Act as the main technical and operational contact during early production phases
Drive adoption of automated inspection in place of manual validation processes
Master’s or PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences (Optics, Physics, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Automation…)
Minimum 5 years of experience in optical inspection, machine vision, industrial instrumentation or automated quality control
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, pharma, diagnostics, precision manufacturing)
